Iris2

Photoshop AI Retouch Panel

A Photoshop AI retouch panel that compresses "select · prompt · insert layer" into the shortest path.

Positioning

Iris2 targets Photoshop users who need localized retouch — portrait, cosplay, event, and commercial workflows. Well suited for hair, makeup, clothing, props, background fixes, and detail enhancement.

Core Value

Iris2 doesn't replace the retoucher's judgement — it removes the repetitive parts. You select a region in Photoshop, Iris2 reads the active selection, sends it to an image model, and the result comes back as a new layer with a mask, ready for further manual fine-tuning.

Typical Workflow

  1. 01In Photoshop, use lasso / marquee / any selection tool to outline the region to edit.
  2. 02In Iris2, type a Chinese prompt, or click a part / recipe button to auto-fill a common instruction.
  3. 03Click "Submit Retouch".
  4. 04Iris2 uploads the active selection and waits for the model result.
  5. 05The result is inserted back as a new layer, with a mask matching the original selection.
  6. 06Color-preserving mode is on by default, keeping the original color and photographic feel.

Main Features

  • ·Auto-reads the active Photoshop selection — no manual "load selection" button.
  • ·Supports Nano Banana 2 / Plug-in image models.
  • ·Model list fetching and local API key storage.
  • ·Model output inserted as a new Photoshop layer automatically.
  • ·Layer mask auto-created from the original selection — avoids rectangular patch overlays.
  • ·"Natural color" mode sets the result layer to Luminosity blend, reducing model color shift.
  • ·Part shortcuts: head, face, body, hair, clothing, background.
  • ·Recipes: fix hair, retouch makeup, fix clothing, fix skin, fix hands, fix eyes, remove junk, fix background, fix props, enhance texture, and more.
  • ·Queue page shows task status; submit auto-jumps to the queue.
  • ·Log panel is collapsed by default; click to expand for details.

Design Principles

  • ·Minimize buttons and steps — core flow is just selection, prompt, submit.
  • ·Keep Photoshop habits intact — results come back as layers and masks.
  • ·Never upload the full image by default. Without an active selection, the task halts and prompts the user to select first.
  • ·API key is stored only in the local plugin data directory.
  • ·UI is primarily Chinese, optimized for single-user high-frequency retouch workflows.

Current Limits

  • ·Model safety policies may reject certain images or prompts. Iris2 surfaces the failure reason.
  • ·Color-preservation uses prompt constraints plus Luminosity blending, but cannot fully prevent color shift.
  • ·Local workflow entry (Forge / ComfyUI) is reserved in Settings — integration still pending.
